Dear Collectors and People who love art.
March 2025 Newsletter
The last two weeks have been spent en plein painting in the Wanaka and
Queenstown regions. Together with other American and Australian artists
we painting in some really rugged terrain. (I have some bruises to show
for it.) We were so fortunate to have Andrew Tischler, a world renowned
artist and teacher leading an inspired programme.
Now I need to put into practice some new skills and paint larger
versions of the incredible country we saw. Helicopters come into their
own when access is very difficult. I have put a couple of the photos I
took so you can see where we were. First is the Mt Alta tarns high up
in the Matukituki Valley near Wanaka and on the Percy Station just near
Glenorchy.
Hopefully next month some new creations will emerge which will feature
in April both at the Darfield Gallery and the Christchurch Art Show.
